So yes, this is the title of the 2009 classic movie, "He's Just Not That Into You," featuring the great talents of Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper, and Scarlett Johansen (just to name a few).

However, I felt like it needed to be the title of this blog post because it's just so relevant to females today. We make many excuses for why he's not calling back or why he hasn't asked you out on the second date. I've heard them all, "he forgot your number," "he's afraid of commitment," or "he just got out of a serious relationship." The truth is, he's just not that into you. And I think we should be able to accept that and move on with our lives.

Seriously, a friend of mine was a wreck over a guy that she had seen for a few times before, but nothing serious. He never has really asked her on a date and so she spent most of her time waiting for her cell phone to buzz or spent hours making herself look good just in the mere chance that she might "run" into him. The sad thing is, she's not the only one. I've seen thousands of girls do this before and frankly they would have had a lot more fun if they had used that time to go out with friends on a Friday night, get drunk, and eat pizza.

This may not be everyone's ideal, but it's a hell of a lot better than getting drunk alone.

My problem is that I don't want just any regular guy. I always want the guy I can't get. Sort of like Scarlett Johansen with Bradley Cooper, I want that guy who is interested, but has something about him that makes him difficult to obtain. It's the chase that really gets me going. But this usually runs into multiple problems and never seems to work out the way I want it to. Then, when I finally get a good guy, I'm not happy with him and the endless cycle continues.

The worst part about it all is that now we have this dreaded thing that is the sole hinderance to any blossoming relationship. The internet. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, you name it. All of these social media platforms will kill anybodies hope that he will text or call you back because you just saw that he put on his story that he was going out to party without you or is checking his phone and just plain not texting you back. Plus, it's so hard to resist the temptation not to look at their profile and check out their most recent flings.

Sometimes I wish it was that easy to just say, "Hey, I like you so we shoudl date," but if dating was that easy, we wouldn't have any chick flicks made. And who the hell wants to live in a world without a good chick flick?

We all know that living in a 2x4 tiny white-walled box with another person is hard. Forget that college dorm room you saw on Pinterest or the one in the Target ad.

Not just that, but it seems that everything cute is way too pricey for the average college student. So the question everyone seems to ask themselves before leaving for college: How am I going to live here for nine months without breaking the piggybank?

Here are some cheap ways to give your dorm room a little more edge, without worrying about your budget.

Put picture collages on the wall.

I love having stuff to cover up the white boring walls that seem to enclose you when you are in your room. The easiest way to do this is with corkboard sheets. They are only a few dollars and you can even get colored ones! Hang them up over the wall and pin up pictures to them. This way you can make those walls your own!

Get a couple of throw pillows.

Having some cute accents pillows on your bed are not only adorable, but sooo comfy when you crash after a long day of studying. Some of these can be a little pricey, but Home Goods always have a great selection, and for only $10 or less! Also check out local thrift stores for some other good pillow finds. You can even design your own online.

Put up a plain mirror and decorate it.

Mirrors are always a necessity in dorm rooms, but no one wants to look at a plain one. Buy a plain over-the-door mirror (http://www.target.com/p/room-essentials-over-the-door-mirror-white/-/A-13191932) and then get some fake flowers from Michael’s or even The Dollar Store. Hot glue them to the sides of the mirror and then admire your creation and your beautiful self.

Make a simple headboard.

This is a super cute way to add another interesting aspect to you room. The best way to do this is to take a piece of cardboard and cut it into the headboard shape you want. Then take a piece of fabric that you want to cover it with, put it around the cardboard, then tape or glue it down. After that, hang it at the level of your bed and push your bed up next to it!

Get some potted plants to put around the room.

People always turn away to this idea because they feel like they don’t have a green thumb and can’t do it. However, there are some plants that require little to no attention at all for them to survive and grow. Check out plants like cacti (colored ones too!), Peace Lilies, African Violets, and Pothos. All of which are cute, and very hard to kill.

The other day I went with my family to the movies. My sister has continued to beg my dad all this week to take us to see Inside Out, the new Pixar movie about the girl whose whole head is run by little people with certain roles. There was Joy, Sadness, Disgust, Anger and Fear.

I have to say, from a completely serious standpoint, Pixar definitely did a good job with this one. The concept was unique and the animation was just incredible. Not to mention, the script was funny, heartfelt, and made the audience smile.

After watching the movie, I realized that we all have different command centers in our head. Some let fear run our lives, some sadness, and some anger. I have always tried to be happy my entire life. Told myself that I would not have friends if I wasn't always smiling because people like happy people. I'm always the energetic and positive person in the group because I've always believed that there is no time to be unhappy and why would one want to be unhappy.

The movie Inside Out taught me that to be balanced in life, you can't just have "Joy" running the command center all the time. You need all the other emotions to work too in order to be who you are. I realized that we can't hide the sadness or anger or fear or disgust because we need all of them for our body to function daily. If you bottle the other emotions up, it will cause you to burst later on.

My challenge now is to let the other emotions take their course on a daily basis. If I need to cry I will, if I need to scream in the car at some idiot male who doesn't know how to drive I will, and if I need to be grossed out by the showers in my dorm hall I most definitely will.

I also challenge you all to make the right emotional choices in your life. If you feel like anger controls you, try letting sadness or joy take over and help balance you out.

This doesn't mean that you should give up on joy though because in order to have that real joy, you need to feel emotionally secure. If you can, always try to look on the bright side of things because it will really help when dealing with difficult people or situations.

I'll be completely honest, having arachnophobia is the most terrifying thing in the world. Not only are you afraid of the really really big spiders, but you are afraid of the tiny ones too. Even the babies. Those scary little spawns of the devil.

So naturally, you can see why when somebody says, "hold my pet tarantula because I trust you with her," is heart-stopping.

Well, not too long ago, I went to go play putt-putt with my family. At this specific putt-putt establishment, they had a little zoo set up with a bunch of cool jungle animals there. While looking at the different glass containers I came across a set of them that had white wispy threads running across them. My hair stood up on my arms and my pulse quickened. I knew exactly what was in these containers. And it scared the crap out of me to even look at them. The thought of the only thing separating me from those vermin was one layer of glass. A layer of glass that could easily be broken by a flying putt-putt ball from a kid who just whacked it way too hard because he has no idea how to play golf or even hold a putter correctly. I backed away very quickly.

At that moment, the guy who had been taking care of the creatures came out from the back and noticed how I looked at the three containers staring me in the face and cunningly smiled at me. "Arachnophobia eh?" he said with a quizzical brow. "The worst," I replied with a chuckle. He then said, "Hold on for a second would ya?" and went back into the door that lead to all the containers with their multiple creatures in them. I knew what was about to occur and I did not like it one bit because out of the door came the man, holding this mother-loving huge tarantula. And it was huge. Not just huge, it was the King Kong of all spiders huge.

The guy turned to me as I backed away. He said, "This is my pet spider. She is really really important to me and I don't want you to hurt her. Before you freak out, can I teach you about her?" I couldn't reply because my eyes were glued to the thing that was in his hands. I nodded my head. He started to talk about his spider and what it could do and most of it I didn't hear until he brought it closer to me. I jumped back. "Woah, hey, it's okay, I got her. Do you wanna just touch her for me? She feels like silk and she won't hurt you. I'll do it with you." At this point, I was frozen. He had asked me to put out my finger, but I couldn't. He carefully reached for my hand and put it on the spider's butt. I had begun to cry and shake.

He looked at me and said "now was that so bad?" Then he looked at my brother and asked, "would you like to hold her?" My brother eagerly held out his hands and he put the spider in them. The spider snuggled up and curled her legs into the middle of his cupped hands. "Oh she likes you," he said. He grabbed the spider and turned to me. "Oh no, I can't. Please don't," I said to him. He walked closer to me. "I trust you with my best friend. If you drop her you will break her exoskeleton and she will bleed to death. I trust you," and with one swift motion he dropped the spider into my hands.

Time seemed to have stopped because I couldn't breathe. Nor could I get rid of the creature in my hands. It's eyes stared at me and I stared right back. I thought for a brief moment, "wow this creature isn't that bad." Then, the spider started to crawl up my arms. I got so freaked out, yet couldn't move or scream. I didn't want to drop and kill it. However, it kept moving up my arms like it was ready to eat my face off. Before I had the chance to start crying again, the guy whisked the spider off of my arms and it was over. I had done it. I had actually faced my fear and let a big ass spider crawl all over me. Now, I can fully take on the world. Except those baby spiders, they still freak me out.

I know I'm writing two blog posts about my Universal experience on Sunday, but too many things happened for me not to write about it.

It was a bad day overall for my family and I. Three rides had shut down while we were on them and Spiderman (one of my personal favorites) was shut down all day. Nevertheless, we all shrugged it off and moved on with our lives.

While walking through Superhero Land, or whatever they call it there, I see Captain America standing on the side of the street taking pictures with people. Now, I will be honest with you guys, usually I hate taking photos with guys in costumes at theme parks because they are usually ugly, gay, or anti-social and weird. Therefore, I never get any joy from walking up to them and taking a picture because without the suit they are nothing. Just a boy.

This time was different though. This time I walked passed Captain America expecting a fake muscle suit with a wimpy guy underneath. But, I had to double-take because what I saw was not what I expected. He was muscular. Like actually muscular, not fat. And he had a gleaming smile from cheek to cheek with a deep voice that sounded a bit like warm honey sliding down your throat.

Naturally, I ran in line to get a picture and turned into 13-year-old me, who decided that she would plan the wedding here and now.

After waiting in line for about 10 minutes a lady came up to us and said, "Okay, that was the last person, Captain America will be out at 7:30 for more pictures." I looked at her and back to Captain America and then back to her. This was not happening. The one time I find an actual real look-alike to Chris Evans, and then this lady thinks she has the right to cut me off. This could be the only time I get to ever get a picture with this exact Captain America. I mean he was looking at me with eyes that said, "C'mon, take a picture with me."

So naturally, in my head, I ran past her, with open arms to the Captain, where he would catch me and dip me so that people around us "Ooo-ed and aah-ed" at the sight. But with everything that happened that day, I chickened and felt weak at the knees. All I said to her was "why?" She looked at me with a glare that said "who is this strange child who asks me why?" And turned to me and said "He'll be back at 7:30" with a voice that sounded like nails scratching on a chalkboard.

That's when one tear drop began to form in my eye and fell to the ground. It was the icing on the cake and I felt stupid for crying a bit, but it had to happen. He was gone and I will never find that perfect Chris Evans look-alike again.

I have a little complaint.

Well, little is an understatement because it is probably up there on my worst pet peeves of the century.

I have an annual pass for Universal and I absolutely love it. With an annual pass, I basically do whatever I want. It's like VIP for a party, except way cooler because you know, it's a theme park and you aren't having to watch drunk dudes whip.

However, with all the cool superhuman power this annual pass brings me, there is one fatal flaw. There is one "bete noire" to my existence on this earth. And this is the stupid thumbprint lockers. Now, one might think, why Courtney is this so annoying to you? And that is a very good question because from the concept, many would think, "wow this is awesome because now they don't have to have a key for the lockers." The unfortunate truth is that the locker system at Universal is severely flawed when you add in the people who completely lose all brain cells while trying to rent one out.

For example, one woman and her husband were going to ride Rip Ride Rocket together, but have to put all stuff in a locker according to new rulings from Universal. I, trying to get in and out of the sweaty huddle of people, got behind them to rent out a locker for my family and I (They always send me in because I seem to know how to maneuver all the stupidity floating around me and do it as quickly as possible). The lady and her husband were speaking Spanish and seemed to be highly confused at this mysterious technology before them. Two buttons were all they had to push, and then pick a finger to put on the scanner. However, the lady seemed to forget how to read and started trying to open every single locker in the section. I tried to help, seeing as though this was cutting into my ride time, but the lady couldn't understand me. I ended up grabbing her finger putting it onto the scanner and pointing to her locker.

Not only that, but later on the same day, I was standing trying to rent a locker for Hulk while two girls were waiting to get their stuff out of a locker. They seemed to think it was a completely brilliant idea to stand in front of the entire locker station with a line of people behind them while they inspected every single item that they pulled out of their locker. It was like they had never seen the stuff that was coming out of it before. They seemed to move in slow motion. Pulling one item out at a time, looking at it intently as though it was going to run away if they didn't stare it down hard enough. I tapped my foot impatiently until I just ended up pushing through them to the scanner. They looked at me like I had just shot the president and stood there for at least 30 seconds staring me down like two beady-eyed hawks.

I know what you are thinking right now, and it's probably something like this, "Wow, Universal needs to teach people some locker etiquette, right now." And believe me, that is what I was thinking, but no. They offer no informational video on locker etiquette or any nice rules of the locker stations. Nada. Zilch. None. And one would think they would since the locker stations need step-by-step Lego instructions because again, people seem to lose every ounce of education they had while standing in front of them.
